为了迎接重庆市教委、重庆市人力资源和社会保障局主办的 2020年“巴渝工匠”杯重庆市第十三届高等职业院校学生职业技能竞赛,为更好地展示我校英语教学质量并选拔优秀选手,学校决定由通识教育与国际学院主办重庆电子工程职业学院第十一届实用英语口语大赛。
一、初赛时间:2019年11月 21 日
二、复赛时间:2019年11月 28 日
三、初赛地点:待定
四、复赛地点:博远厅
五、比赛方法及样题:(见附件)
六、奖项设置:一等奖2名;二等奖5名;三等奖8名
七、报名
1、参赛选手仅限于我校在校学生。

竞赛方案
一、竞赛目的
为继续深化我校《公共英语》课程教学改革,激发广大学生学习英语的积极性;加快我校人才培养模式改革,促进我校高端技能型人才培养;增强学生职业英语交流能力和跨文化交际能力,展现和提高学生口语表达能力,以促进学生在日常生活、专业学习和职业岗位等不同领域和语境中能够用英语有效地进行交流,满足用人单位的职业需求。
二、参赛资格
我校在校生。参赛选手年龄不得超过25周岁(即1994年5月1日及以后出生)
三、竞赛内容
竞赛由“现场描述”、“情景交流”两部分组成。
1、现场描述:参赛者抽取一幅表现某一情景的图画、图表、广告等,根据给出的说明(如进出口额、市场变化、人口变动、生产状况、生产指标、景点介绍等)进行口头陈述。准备时间20分钟,陈述时间为3分钟。
2、情景交流:参赛者抽取一个题目,由一位(外籍)主试官根据参赛者抽取的内容对参赛者进行一对一的现场交谈。交流时间为3分钟。交谈内容涉及以下方面:
l一般日常交际:迎送、日程安排、住宿安排、宴请、陪同购物、游览、就诊等;
l企业介绍:历史、现状等;
l产品介绍:类型、性能、规格、市场、销售等;
l涉外业务:合作意向、投资意向、签订合同、人员培训、专家待遇、议价、折扣、订货、交货、投诉等。
四、评判标准
评委分别给分。“现场描述”、“情景交流”均按0分至10分记分(小数点后保留1位)。总分计算方法:去掉一个最高分,去掉一个最低分,取其他分数的平均分计入总分。总分小数点计至2位数,如:9.23分,8.79分,9.67分,等等。最后按总分的高低决定名次。

Part I Presentation (3 minutes)

Suggested answer:
From the chart we can see that about 50 percent of the cyber citizens often surf on-line for the main purpose of acquiring information. The percentage of this leading purpose has always kept the largest proportion, though it decreased a little in July 2003 compared with that of half a year before. Entertainment is the second main purpose of surfing on-line. The percentage of entertainment has been increasing rapidly within this year. There is an obvious decrease in the number of cyber citizens who make friends through the Internet. However, more and more people surf on-line for the purpose of study.
The Internet has played an essential role in people’s life. The chart shows that cyber citizens’ on-line behaviors have been changing in recent years. This indicates that people no longer use the Internet merely for one purpose, but for various daily needs. In particular, entertainment perhaps will become the main stream of net behaviors in the near future.
